Badr Treatment Abroad, BLK-MAX joins hands

Badr Treatment Abroad (BTA), a medical value travel initiative by Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, and MAX-BLK Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi, have signed an MoU for cooperation in knowledge exchange and facilitation for tertiary healthcare care services.

Executive directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moideen Bilal and Firasath Hassan, and unit head & senior vice president of BLK-MAX Super Specialty Hospital, Dr Sanjay Mehta signed the MoU. Dr Puneet Girdhar, senior director and head – Orthopedic Spine Surgery and Dr Yajvender Pratap Singh Rana, senior consultant – Urology, Andrology & Renal Transplant from BLK-MAX Super Speciality Hospital, also shared some recent trends about their respective specialities, a press release said.

Under this MoU, Badr Treatment Abroad, adhering to Ministry of Health policies and protocols, aims at bringing tertiary level expertise in various medical specialities within the Sultanate of Oman in the shape of super-specialised Out Patient Department (OPD) consultation sessions and performing advanced and complex surgeries. The vision of this programme is to make tertiary level healthcare services conveniently available within the country to save the time and money of the patients. For medical interventions requiring hi-tech technological intervention, BTA will also facilitate the travel of the patients.

Bilal disclosed that Badr Treatment Aboard focuses on helping patients, in case of unavoidable need, choose the appropriate healthcare service provided and hence bring convenience of best quality healthcare and affordability. Under this programme, not just patients but doctors will also be benefitted through knowledge exchange programmes and workshops, he added.

Hassan said, “We are working out ways to bring more convenience to our patients by way of making arrangements of super speciality OPDs and advanced and complex surgical services within the country, adhering to MoH protocols. Patients look for right guidance in the process of medical value travel and we bring the most trusted healthcare providers to help fill this gap.”

Dr Mehta said it was a moment of pride to associate with the largest and most trusted private healthcare provider of the Sultanate of Oman and the main aim of this association was to bring the right quality of treatment to patients. “BLK-MAX Super Speciality hospital will felicitate the training and workshops for the doctors and nurses to keep them abreast with the latest advances,” he said.
