Muscat – Muscat Municipality conducted inspections of a number of restaurants and cafes in the capital on Wednesday.

The authority closed four shops and issued eight health violations and warnings against some of them.

A statement issued by Muscat Municipality said, “In continuation of its oversight efforts, the municipality targets, with its inspection visits, about 486 shops and restaurants, with the aim of emphasising the need to adhere to health requirements.”

‘Muscat Municipality reaffirms that it will take the necessary legal procedures in accordance with the laws. It also hopes for full cooperation in the maintenance of public health and invites everyone to call the toll free number 1111 for any observations or queries.’
